2024 Cartagena Local Highlights Option - 4 Hours - Provided by Singular Luxury Travel

Guests will enjoy a pre-arranged sightseeing itinerary with a Private Car and Guide to explore the following destination highlights.

Departing from the Port of Cartagena de Indias, you will go to the old city to enjoy a romantic stroll and the most prominent monuments, museums, and sites: Callejón de los Estribos, Plaza de Santo Domingo, Calle de la Inquisición, Plaza de Bolívar, and a visit to the Palacio de la Inquisición and the San Pedro Cloister.

You will have a break to enjoy a fresh tropical fruit juice or a Colombian Coffee in an old tavern as a special, complimentary, gift from Singular. Next on the tour you will see Calle de la Mantilla, Calle del Estanco del Tabaco, Calle del Arzobispado, Plaza de la Proclamación, Calle Román, Portal de los Dulces, Plaza de los Coches, Plaza de la Aduana, Plaza de San Pedro Claver, Calle San Juan de Dios, Plaza Santa Teresa, San Francisco Javier Bastion. You will be driven back to the port.

NOTE:The service starts at the port of Cartagena de Indias. Once travelers disembark, they must walk to “Zone 1” on the dock – some steps away - to meet a Singular host, wearing Singular’s uniform and holding a sign with the passengers’ name. The host will take them to the car park and introduce them to the driver to start the tour.

Guests will enjoy a pre-arranged sightseeing itinerary with a Private Car and Guide to explore the following destination highlights.

You will be heading to Villa Lapas Reserve & Eco Hotel, about 1-hour drive from the pier. Experience the beauty of the rainforest through our Villa Lapas Sky Way walking tour, 1.5 miles (2.5 km) in length with five suspended bridges at more than 180 feet above the ground. Each of these bridges is an astonishing 300 feet in length, crossing through the very heart of the tropical rainforest.

You will observe the primary and secondary rainforest vegetation. Keep your eyes open to see the numerous bird species, mammals and other varied fauna that call this forest home. The nature walk lasts about one hour and it includes some areas with some steeps, uneven terrain, ups and downs.

Continue your journey to Tarcoles River, famous for its large American Crocodiles and home to one of the world’s largest crocodile populations in the wild. They are very easy to admire during our one-hour boat ride. Besides crocodiles, many aquatic bird species, monkeys, & scarlet macaws are easy to see.

Returning to the pier, before the drop off, you will visit Puntarenas City. This is the largest city in the Central Pacific. It is a lively and attractive city, and you will have the opportunity to see one of its most interesting features, the Paseo de los Turistas.
